Trio Jazz Minouche

As part of the Escale series, the International Rimouski Jazz Festival is proud to offer you an evening featuring the performance of the Jazz Minouche Trio.

Minouche or manouche? This original trio pays homage to the gypsy jazz genre, a cross between gypsy music and American jazz that appeared in France in the 1930s. The three musicians take you into their caravan to experience a festive musical journey that plunges into the deep roots of gypsy jazz.

From the legendary influence of Django Reinhardt, to the timeless standards of American jazz, going back to Eastern European folklore to French songs, the emotion and catchy rhythms are there!
