As part of the Grand Prix de la Relève Festi Jazz – Promutuel 2023, we’re proud to introduce you to Loïc Du Sablon!

Quebec-born drummer Loïc Du Sablon’s music is a synthesis of all his musical influences to date. As the name suggests, it’s a retrospective of his musical life. From progressive rock to modern New York jazz and power ballads, each part reflects a style or artist that contributed to the young drummer’s musical background, all in an improvisational jazz format. With Nicolas Riverin on trumpet, Félix Dubé on piano, Étienne Bédard-Roy on double bass and Alex Muscalu on guitar, the quintet virtuosically interprets music that is sometimes rhythmically complex, sometimes lyrical and sentimental.
