SOLARIUM

As part of the Grand Prix de la Relève Festi Jazz – Promutuel 2023, we are proud to present Solarium!

Solarium is Louis Plouffe on sax (23), Karl-André Rozankovic on piano/keyboard (24), Vincent Dessureault on bass (27) and Léo Minville on drums and guitar (23). Having met at university and cegep, the quartet not only shares their love of jazz with audiences, but also of whatever inspires them, from Quebec trad to film music, tarot cards and vaporwave. After a more traditional self-titled debut album, the group ventured into larger composition and arrangement projects with the double album Aube/Nocturne, featuring 18 pieces paying tribute to Quebec culture and jazz history.

It’s a music that moves forward in all sorts of directions, but with very precise anchors and above all a deep dedication to sharing with each other and with the audience on stage.
