A most dazzling maritime decor!

The Bas-Saint-Laurent is a vast territory bordering the Saint-Laurent estuary from La Pocatière to the gateway to the Gaspesie; explore our region. It is connected to the north shore by three ferries and extends south to the borders of New Brunswick and Maine (United States). It is bordered to the west by the Chaudière-Appalaches region, and to the east by the Gaspesie. A true paradise for nature enthusiasts, it is a meeting place for ornithologists, since more than 320 species of birds nest in this region. The mountains impose their presence on the whole territory, in fabulous landscapes. It’s not surprising then that the region’s tourist motto is "Where you will love to come back"! The accommodation network has developed advantageously over the years to meet the needs of tourists. Thus, more and more establishments are offering products aimed at both passing tourists and business travelers. The efforts of the tourism industry have positioned the region nationally and internationally for its ecotourism and winter products. By implementing various marketing strategies, the region stands out for its snowmobile product and for its vast natural and cultural heritage.
