As part of the Desjardins Jazz Day series, the Rimouski International Jazz Festival, presented by Videotron and in collaboration with Desjardins, is proud to present a performance by Petros Klampanis.

Greek bassist, composer and producer Petros Klampanis has developed a distinctive voice on the international jazz scene, blending Mediterranean lyricism with contemporary improvisation.
Praised as a “bass ace” by Bass Player Magazine, his music draws on the sounds of Greece, the Balkans and the wider Mediterranean, infused with elements of jazz, classical music and global traditions.
Now dividing his time between Athens and New York, Klampanis has collaborated with artists such as Greg Osby, Jacques Morelenbaum, Oded Tzur, Arooj Aftab, Anoushka Shankar, Shai Maestro, Gilad Hekselman, Jean-Michel Pilc, Ari Hoenig, Snarky Puppy, Kinan Azmeh, Dimitra Galani and Maria Farantouri.
His recent project Latent Info brings together an exceptional trio featuring Kristjan Randalu (piano) and Ziv Ravitz (drums). The music explores the intersection of jazz improvisation, Mediterranean lyricism and contemporary chamber-like interplay, creating a deeply expressive and dynamic sound world.
