As part of the Grands Spectacles series, the International Rimouski Jazz Fest presented by Québecor is proud to present an evening of performances by Betty Bonifassi.

Béatrice ‘Betty’ Bonifassi is a French-born singer based in Montreal. Bonifassi has performed in a wide range of styles in both French and English – from jazz and traditional to blues and electronica.
She joined forces with producer Jean-Philippe Goncalves to form the group Beast. Their debut album, released in November 2008, features an energetic trip-hop sound. Bonifassi is the songwriter and performer, and Goncalves is the composer and producer. Songwriter Simon Wilcox also contributes lyrics. The project took a break in 2010.
Bonifassi then turned his attention to his solo career. She performed at the Festival Montréal en Lumière in 2011, with a revisited repertoire of Édith Piaf, Berthe Sylva and Léo Ferré.
She also took part in the Francofolies de Montréal festival that same year.
