As part of the Escales series, the Festi Jazz international de Rimouski, presented by Vidéotron, is proud to bring you a performance by Les Minouches.
Les Minouches are a group of young musicians from the region of Rimouski. After studying together, they decided to create a groupe of gypsy jazz, a style that comes from Romani music and French songs in the 1930’s. With Alicia Ouellet on vocals, Emmanuel Leblanc and Xavier Dionne on the guitar, Sacha Baril on double bass and Zachary Gauvin on saxophone. They promise to make you travel in time by revisiting jazz standards and by reimagining classic songs from Québec.
